Fire Appliance Components Limited was incorporated in 1971 and has grown significantly in over 30 years of trading to the largest independent manufacturer of steel cylinders in Europe.

In 2005 FAC replaced the Kitemark approval with the Pi ( Π ) mark approval to meet European requirements in line with the Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive (TPED). Fire Extinguisher Cartridges are manufactured to BS EN3. Fire extinguisher cartridges 90 grams and above are manufactured in accordance with TPED and Pi ( Π ) marked. FAC also hold approvals to:
 
  • EN 13293 :

    • Manufacture of transportable gas cylinders up to 0.5 litre for compressed liquefied and dissolved gases and up to 1 litre for CO2.
  • EN 12205 :

    • non refillable - supplied empty.
